Making the Team

The try out process for both Prowlers and Loon-E crew were very laid back. For the most part if one of the applicants was enthusiastic and visibly putting a large amount of effort in they were chosen.
Try outs for Prowlers went as follows:
  • Stretch together
  • Learn a short routine
  • Practice together
  • Perform in small groups for officers
  • Perform skills such as leaps, turns, and kicks for officers
Later on that day a list was posted of those who made the team
The try out for Loon-E crew was even more laid back
  • a very short simple routine was taught
  • we were divided in to groups and told to make the choreography our own
  • the groups then performed for a small panel of judges
  • They sent us in to the hall and brought each person in one at a time and told us if we had made it or not
Luckily I got good news both times :D

Trinity dance teams 101

Hey all this is the first post about some of the dance teams here at Trinity. The prowlers are a group of girls who are some what technically trained and perform at home football and basketball games. Below are two videos of dances we have done. Tomorrow, Thursday 3/5/09 they will be performing at the basketball game at 7:00, so if you want to see them first hand come support the basketball team.
Another group here at Trinity is the Loon-E crew, which is a hip hop group of dancers who just love to perform. They have performed at a tailgate party during football season, Mabuhai fest, and most recently performed at BSU's Mocha Life.
There are still more chances to see these groups perform at Trinity so be on the look out for updates.
